Settling, Thinking, Settling

Lately, I have been on a journey. A journey to find what is best for me. Educating myself from everything to being a better enviromentally concious human to branding myself to helping my community in little ways that I can. I am reading everything from the Forks and Knifes book to You Are a Brand!: How Smart People Brand Themselves for Business Success. I even read a book on why/how to be vegan.  On the local front, I went to a Fair Trade Faire talked to people about Fair trade Practices and why it is important to invest in goods that devote their resources to ensuring sustainablility, good working conditions and decent wages. I have been fostering a dog at a time for Second Chance Dog Rescue, this is a family project. We already have 3 dogs and my kids wanted another one. I put my foot down and said no, but compromised that we can help out by being a foster family. This gives variety in their lives while helping out a worthy organization. I have been working, I can say that work is a necessary part of my life, without work, I feel worthless and not fulfilled. I have a couple of hats or maybe 3...I work in recruitment advertising, I help place advertisements and advise companies on how to fill niche jobs. I am also a part of Social Media Club San Diego as current president. Both have challenges, both keep me fulfilled. So for that I am grateful. Last hat, I am slowly transitioning my esthetician into the social media world. Keeping her updated on the latest and keeping her going on her content and Facebook page. I enjoy consulting, promoting and helping...So this is where I am. This ongoing evolving thirtysomething that is taking and giving some punches here and there who questions but also accepts. It is a good place for now.
